A Full Spoon Of began as a simple food blog—born from a love of baking and a desire to share it. What started as recipe writing and weekend cake projects quickly evolved into something more meaningful, deeply rooted in family and tradition.

My earliest inspiration came from my mother. As a child, I often watched her work quietly in the kitchen, crafting intricate desserts with remarkable patience and care. Her cakes were towering and elegant, covered in handmade sugar flowers; her pastries, delicate and full of flavor. I can still remember the first bite of a marbled chocolate and vanilla cookie she made when I was seven: it’s a taste I’ve never forgotten.

That early influence stayed with me. Encouraged by friends, family, and the support of a local food community, my mother and I decided to join forces. What began as shared creative time became a small venture, baking together, experimenting, and gradually offering our decorative treats to others. One order led to another, and soon we found ourselves building a business, cookie by cookie.

Today, from a commercial kitchen in Ottawa, Ontario, we create custom decorative cookies that are known not just for their eye-catching design, but for their unforgettable flavour and texture. Every cookie is made with intention, and every batch carries a piece of our story.
